Meet Lacey Jo

I’m Lacey Jo—a wife, homesteader, husky rescuer, and Nutritional Therapy Practitioner. More than any title, I am a steward of faith, land, and the body God has entrusted me with.

My work at Harvest Functional Wellness is deeply rooted in faith. I don’t believe healing is mechanical or transactional—it is relational. Jesus describes it this way in The Message translation:

“I am the Vine, you are the branches. When you’re joined with me and I with you, the relation intimate and organic, the harvest is sure to be abundant.” — John 15:5

This verse shapes how I practice functional nutrition: slowly, respectfully, and with reverence for the body’s God-designed wisdom.

A Life of Tending

Home is in northern Colorado, at Husky Haven Homestead, where daily life revolves around caring for what has been entrusted to me—my husband Ryan (my “forever date” since 2007), our huskies and foster pups, laying hens, honeybees, gardens, sourdough, music, and the quiet rhythms of stewardship.

This way of living—tending soil, honoring seasons, responding rather than forcing, mirrors how I support people on their healing journeys.

My Healing Journey

My understanding of the body was shaped through lived experience. From the age of 12, I struggled with painful, heavy periods that were dismissed as normal. Fifteen years later, I was diagnosed with endometriosis. Multiple surgeries followed, yet relief did not.

In 2019, I began a holistic healing journey grounded in nutrition and foundational support. As I addressed root imbalances and gently unlearned patterns that no longer served me, my body began to respond. I started to come to the realization that my body wasn’t broken, it had been protecting me the only way it knew how.

Since spring of 2022, I have lived pain and symptom-free from a disease that is said to be “incurable.” I have supported my body with nutrient-dense nourishment, restorative sleep, hydration, movement, and emotional release. I continue listening closely to what it has to say each and every day because healing is a journey, not a destination.

Why I Do This Work

After more than two decades leading worship, I was called into a different kind of ministry.

I want to walk with people who feel disconnected from their bodies and uncertain they are worthy of healing. Why? Because I walked through this valley and I know I’m called to serve those who are still there.

I don’t believe bodies are broken. I believe they are wonderfully complex, adaptive, and wise.

My role is not to fix, but to listen, interpret, and help restore the foundations so healing can unfold in its proper season.

My Invitation for You

If you are ready to begin stewarding your health, untangling the roots, and receiving care that feels grounded, faithful, and respectful, I would be honored to walk alongside you.

Here’s to rooted beginnings!
